Art Alive, Art Exhibition

 


This term in term 4 our theme is Art Alive. This is what I did for my art. We did Maori,Niue,Samoan,Tongan and Cook Island art.

Maori: Raperape means continuity towards our evolving future.

Niue: Shark teeth They represent protection, guidance and strength as well as fierocity.

Samoan: Fa'a 'anufe / Worm This symbol is found in earlier works of Siapo, however, it is seldom used and has almost become extinct.

Tongan: Manulua - Can either represent a bird or a flower. Bringing two groups or families together to form a new union.

Cook Island: It means a source of light and clear direction


What we did was we walked around the school looking at other people's art.
