Caving Narrative
Me and my friend Jade got ready to go to Waitomo cave. We put on our wet suits and our shoes and we put on clothes on top of it. We also packed jumpers,shoes, pants and towels to get changed and dried in when we go home. We packed a little bit of food for when we went home.
We got in the car and my aunt started driving. My aunt had to come because we needed someone to look after us and drive us to Waitomo cave. The drive was so long it was like a 2 hour drive. My aunt said for us to eat something before we get there because if we don’t then we will be so hungry so we did eat. But we finally arrived at our destination .
We climb up to where u zip line down to the cave we buckled up and the man but the zip line one our
Suits. He made sure that it was on tide. We zip lined down to the cave. It was really really dark so we put on our headlights on we took off our zip line string and explored through the cave. The cave was really cool. It had glow worms. It was the first time I had ever seen glow worms before. After about 10 to 15 mins we went through this little hole as it led to this river and you have a round black floatie where you sit on and it takes you to this waterfall. We stayed there for a bit and we left to go back to the hole. We got to the hole and we climbed though it we were back in the cave again. We walked back to the start and we put our zip line strings back on and then we got pulled up. We said thank you and then we left to the car. I felt really scared when we were in the river and in the cave but it’s fine because at least I had fun. THE END
